Organic Coconut Sugar

Kokonati organic coconut sugar is made from the sap tapped from the coconut flower blossoms. The sap is slowly evaporated and crystallized into coconut sugar. Coconut sugar has a subtle sweetness that enhances the flavor of cooking and baking without overpowering it.

UsesUse in refined-sugar-free baking and as a natural sugar alternative to heavily refined white sugars. Can replace regular sugar 1: 1. To use as a healthier alternative to white icing sugar, it can be ground further by running in a dry grinder. Coconut sugar when finely powdered is lighter.

Flavor Aroma is neutral and taste is pleasantly sweet. Although every batch of this naturally extracted flower sap varies in color, a lightly caramelized golden to medium brown is the usual color of crystallized coconut sugar.

Storage

Keep airtight in the pantry, away from sunlight and damp. Use a dry spoon to scoop out. Use within 3-4 months from opening. With a best before of two years from the manufacture date, coconut sugar remains safe to use for even longer periods as long as it is stored with minimal exposure to light, air, and moisture.
